Surrounded by 5 giant blue spruce trees in historic Lander, the Blue Spruce Inn is within easy walking distance of downtown and city parks. Built by a wealthy sheep rancher in 1919, it is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Large comfortable rooms remind you of a visit to Grandma''s house. The front veranda has a porch swing just waiting to be enjoyed. To start your day a sumptuous full breakfast will delight you as you discover some of the recipes collected by your hosts. Sip coffee or tea in the evening on the porch swing or in the sunroom at a bistro table.
Throughout the Inn, magnificent oak crown molding and woodwork prevail as outstanding examples of the Arts and Crafts period of the early 20th Century. Stained and beveled glass in windows and in the breakfront of the dining room are also very typical of that era as well as beautiful oak floors laid in a unique design rarely seen.
