The Hartfiel Inn was originally built in1908 by Judge Pugh and was purchased by Ward and Peg Johnson in 1935. The west wing (kitchen and master bedroom) was added on to the home in 1946. Rick and Quita Hartfiel are the third owners and purchased the home in December of 1994. The Hartfiels have since renovated with the utmost care taken to keep the original house while adding modern conveniences. The decorating of the Hartfiel Inn was inspired by travel to Europe. Every room holds many cultural suprises.
