The Manor House, now a Cripple Creek bed & breakfast, operated as Cripple Creek High School until 1975. The historic building is the only surviving school building out of five original Cripple Creek schools. In 1983, after sitting dormant for eight years, Ted Heyliger and his wife Delories purchased the property and began the task of renovation. Twenty years later, the Ledford family purchased the property and is now in the process of continuing the Heyligers'' dream. The new plan calls for redecorating Carr Manor''s existing thirteen guest rooms and construction of an additional seven suites, which will all have theme names and historic reflections of times gone past.
